Pale lemon with green taints. On the nose, hints of citrus with grapefruit; tones of lemon, apple blossom as well as an indication of honey. On the palate, this wine gives a linear structure, lightish. The Wairarapa (North Island) Jealous Sisters Sauvignon Blanc 2014 should be riper. Surprisingly, this entry-level Sauvignon blanc is still green and gives a lot more mineral than I was expecting. Simple and easy to drink; fruit is surviving.
It has won a 2016 Silver Medal in a Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition.
