Chateau Tour de Guiet 2015, Grand Vin
Deep ruby, with a tight pink rim. Youthful. Big and rich nose for the class. Ripe blackberries fruit, with ample tannins add texture, structure and length accentuated lifted acidities. Quality and strong fruit in layers blended with classy wood (partial oak fermentation; 20 months ageing in barrels) in harmony. Still raw, but is promising. Structure is closer to Left Bank and the aftertaste is very Bourg in style, with 90% cabernet conditioned by the more generous 10% merlot. Drinks well now and rewards patience in storing for 3 to 5 year and beyond. Don't confused with the lower Cuvee. Only 1200 bottles are made for the privileged few.
