dark ruby. Fresh nose(strawberries, violets and floral) with good ripeness(candies and cinnamon). Not as developed as 2015(in terms of liquorice and spices). It is very intense, dense and heavy. Like 2015, the body seems light by Amarone standard, but it bis full-bodied as a glass of red wine, and it tastes severe too. With not so much depth, this 2016 displays more power and finish - not as elegant but like 2015 this new vintage has more ageing potential and can broaden the appeal of this iconic wine in the red-wine biased Hong Kong market. The wine aged in oak for 24 months. Tasting based on by 1-hour full-decanting.

This new vintage 2016 has excellent score-97 from Luca Maroni. It is as good as 2015, if not better.
