Louis Max Beaucharme Pinot Noir 2018

Medium rubied; garnet rim. Bright and clear. Pretty.

Dry tones from cherry, strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, violet, herbs. The savoury earthiness(mushrooms, anise, tobacco, pepper, minerality, meat) seems evident. However, if you like ripeness, this bottle may not be for you. The palate is linear and straightforward, the tannins ample yet soft, the alcohol level low at 12%, so it is elegant with quite balanced oak integration to support the fruit flavours. It also reflects the vintage characteristics as well.

From a purist standpoint, fruit quality is slightly coarse. However, according to one of our tasting associates, a pleasant 'kirschness' and citrusy finish come around after some hours, making this little wine rounder, structured and intense.

It won't come to you. So it would help if you had patience. DD90.

I love the label, the name Beaucharme, the 'Crown', the colour scheme, the typeface, the capsule.
